SUMMARY:

The Sales department is responsible for the technical sales and communications between NGC and its end user and OEM customers. The focus will be supporting the wind gear aftermarket business in the Fort Worth Service Center. The Business Development and Sales department plays am integral role in the organization by supporting all facets of the business.

EMPLOYEE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The employee is responsible for providing coordination of outside sales opportunities and activities with engineering, shop operations and inventory management personnel. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning in conjunction with the other dependent NGC teams. The employee must establish a relationship with NGC USA engineering, manufacturing and marketing and sales departments to support customer order fulfillment. The goal is to improve NGC US competency level to expert status for wind gearbox aftermarket opportunities.

Responsibilities include to:

  • Work in collaboration with field sales in actively managing booked opportunities for service applicable to the Fort Worth Service Center.
  • Work directly with operations to identify incoming customer components including core gearboxes and main shafts and schedule service work booked by customers
  • Update CRM tool and other internal tracking means to provide serial number control and alignment throughout service process
  • Coordinate completion of repair scope assessments from engineering group and translation into proposal format to NGC customers
  • Support outside sales in proposal negotiation / clarification process
  • Provide clarification on work scope to operations and engineering; report additional scope items identified during service to appropriate Regional Sales Manager / BD Manager
  • Ensure scheduling of customer proposals accepted and booked and provide weekly status updates to sales team. Monitor and report on backlog weekly.
  • Develop and implement an internal filing system (electronic and hard copy) including an order release sheet (ORS) that can be viewed and understood by production.
  • Track backlog, work in progress, finished goods and storage inventory on a weekly basis.
  • Lead completion of work packages collect technical and shipping documents and initiate invoicing process with finance team.
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
  • Frequent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction. Implement necessary corrective actions as required.
  • Interface with cross functional work teams such as field service, design, manufacturing, and quality, sales, and marketing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have experience working with project management practices and resources.
  • Must have a customer focused attitude and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding data analysis skills to make data-driven business decisions
  • Ability to adapt fast paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe®, Microsoft® Office, ERP, Salesforce, and other internal programs.
  • Fluent in Mandarin is a plus.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience in the industry, Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a thorough understanding of NGC products.
